What if I'm not sure if I want to commit to lessons?
We offer a free 20-minute trial lesson to help you decide if it is for you. This will give you an opportunity to meet the tutor, ask questions and check your wifi connection for online lessons. You can also opt-out anytime by giving 30 days' notice.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card, bank transfer or click the link on the invoice to pay by PayPal (no cash).
Do I have to pay for a whole year or term at once?
No. You pay on a monthly basis if you subscribe to the annual subscription. If you opt for a package or a single lesson you pay for it upfront, before the first lesson.
What happens if I decide to stop attending lessons?
If you are subscribed to our yearly subscription, you can opt-out any time by giving 30 days notice. If you opt for a package deal there are no refunds once you have paid for the lessons. If you decide to opt out and give us 30 days' notice, we can make sure you receive the correct amount of lessons before finishing up.
What happens if I can't pay on time?
A late fee of 10% may be applied to your account if fees are not paid on time. If for any reason you can't pay on time, please communicate with Rebecca so we can plan accordingly. If fees are repeatedly not paid on time and no effort has been made to communicate with the studio, your slot (which is held for you) may be given to students waiting to join the studio.
Are there any other fees apart from the lesson fee?
Yes. For all pay subscription students, there is a registration fee of €44 due at sign-up. A late fee of 10% may be applied to your account if fees are not paid on time.

Do I pay less for a month with only 2 or 3 lessons for example?
No. The yearly subscription is divided out evenly over the space of a year's worth of lessons. So instead of paying different amounts each month (€88 for 4 lesson months, €66 for 3 lesson months), you pay the same amount of €85. If you attend lessons between September and July you will receive 42, 30-minute lessons, or 42, 60-minute lessons if you are subscribed to 2 instruments (example voice and keyboard). If you decide to opt out and give us 30 days' notice, we can make sure you receive the correct amount of lessons before finishing up.
What happens if I can't make a lesson?
We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you can't make a lesson. If for some reason it is not possible to attend an in-person lesson but you are well enough to do an online lesson we can do so using 'Zoom'. If this option is not suitable then you can send us a video of you performing your pieces, technical exercises, and anything else you want to include, and we will review it at your lesson time without you and send you feedback.
You may send your videos to rkvocalstudio@gmail.com or +353 87 7726006.
Do you offer makeup lessons?
No. But you may send us progress updates in video form which we will then review at your lesson without you and send you feedback. We also offer online lessons via Zoom for anyone who can't physically be at their lesson but are well enough to attend an online lesson.
Can I attend my in-person lesson if I am feeling a bit unwell but well enough to attend my lesson?
No. You should stay at home to avoid contagion. You can, however, do your lesson online via 'Zoom'. This policy has been in place since 2017, in order to protect tutors and students from getting sick and losing out on school/college days or work.
What policies are in place to prevent the spread of covid19?

Can I sit in on my child's lesson?
